Setting up your knowledge base in HubSpot

Create and manage a knowledge base with HubSpot Service Hub Professional

Give your customers (and support team) a great experience with the knowledge base feature in HubSpot Service Professional. In under 5 minutes, you'll have a working knowledge base that can answer your customers' most pressing questions.

1. Start your HubSpot Service Hub Professional subscription

To access the knowledge base feature, you'll need a subscription to HubSpot Service Hub Professional.

2. Create your knowledge base

In the top navigation, click Service and select Knowledge Base.

Select your template theme.

Choose whether or not you want your knowledge base to be public or private. If you want your knowledge base to be private, you can create lists of contacts who can have access (e.g. customers).

3. Connect your knowledge base domain to HubSpot

Use your primary domain (www.yourdomain.com) or a subdomain (help.yourdomain.com) with your HubSpot Knowledge Base. To connect your domain, click the Settings icon in the main navigation. In the left menu, select Domains.

On the Domains page, click Connect a domain and check Knowledge Base on the next screen.

In your DNS provider, you'll need to add a CNAME record that points your domain (or subdomain) to the HubSpot domain you're provided.
